Iphonduo

Privacy Policy

Effective 12 September 2026

This policy explains how Iphonduo handles personal information.

It applies to this website and to any correspondence you send us. We keep the amount of personal information we handle to a minimum: we do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of the people who read the site.

01 · Who we are

Iphonduo publishes independent reviews and buying guides for consumer technology. For the purposes of data protection law, Iphonduo is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Questions about this policy, or about how your information is handled, can be sent to hello@iphonduo.com.

02 · Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information, and only one of them involves you choosing to give it to us.

Technical information

When you visit the site, information is recorded automatically as part of delivering the pages to you. This may include your IP address, the date and time of your request, the pages you requested, your browser type and version, your operating system, and the page that referred you. This information is generated by the systems that serve the site and is used for security, diagnostics and fault-finding.

Information you send us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and anything else contained in your message. We use it to respond to you and, where you have reported a factual error, to check and correct the site.

03 · How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • deliver the website and its content to your device;
  • keep the site secure and investigate misuse or technical faults;
  • respond to enquiries, corrections and press requests;
  • understand, in aggregate, how the site performs technically; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

04 · Our lawful bases

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning website and in replying to people who contact us. Where we are required to retain or disclose information, we rely on compliance with a legal obligation. If we ever rely on consent, we will ask for it clearly and you will be able to withdraw it at any time.

05 · Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own and permits none from third parties. We do not use analytics packages, advertising networks, tracking pixels, session recording or device fingerprinting, and we do not track you across other websites.

Because we set no cookies and run no tracking, there is no consent banner and nothing for you to opt out of. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals are respected by default, since we do not carry out the activities they are designed to limit.

06 · Advertising and affiliate links

Iphonduo carries no advertising. Some articles link to manufacturers and retailers so that readers can check prices and availability. We currently earn no commission from these links, and no reader data is shared with those companies by us.

If we introduce affiliate arrangements in future, we will disclose them clearly on the pages concerned and update this policy. Commercial relationships never influence our editorial conclusions.

07 · Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We use a small number of service providers to operate the site — including hosting, content delivery and email providers. They process information only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to establish or defend legal claims.

You are entitled to ask which categories of recipient we use, and we will tell you.

08 · International transfers

The site is available worldwide, and our service providers may process information in countries outside your own, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where personal information is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

09 · How long we keep it

Technical records generated in the course of serving the site are kept only for as long as they are needed for security and diagnostics, and are then deleted or aggregated so that they no longer identify anyone.

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to maintain a record of corrections made to the site, and is reviewed periodically.

10 · Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and loss, and we limit access to those who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11 · Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; to have it corrected or deleted; to object to or restrict how we use it; to receive it in a portable format; and to withdraw consent where we have relied on it.

If you are a California resident, you additionally have the right to know what personal information is collected and disclosed, the right to deletion and correction, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.

To exercise any right, email hello@iphonduo.com. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law. You may need to provide enough information for us to locate any records relating to you. Exercising your rights is free of charge.

If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

12 · Children

The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13 · Other websites

Our articles link to websites operated by manufacturers, retailers and news organisations. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from ours.

14 · Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The effective date at the top of this page will always show when it was last revised, and material changes will be highlighted on the page.

15 · Contact

For any question about this policy or your personal information, write to us and we will reply.
